What this site collects.

One form, one recipient, and a short list of third parties that load fonts, scripts and translation. This page describes what actually happens, not what a template says usually happens.

Read this first: draft for review

This is a starting draft written to describe how the website is actually built. It is not legal advice and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have a qualified professional review and adapt it for your jurisdiction, your business structure and any state privacy law that applies to you before this page is published as the operative policy.

The short version

This website has one place where you can hand over personal information: the estimate form on the contact page. Everything you type there is emailed to the business so we can respond to you. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell it, rent it, or feed it to an advertising network.

The site sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics package, no advertising pixel, no session recorder and no visitor tracking script. If that changes later, this page has to change with it.

Who is responsible for this information

The business behind this website, and the party responsible for information submitted through it, is Add the exact legal entity name, for example Kwik Flooring LLC.

Questions about this policy, or about information you have already sent us, go to Add a privacy contact email address or mailing address.

What the estimate form collects

The form is split into three steps. Only the last step asks for anything that identifies you personally.

Fields on the estimate form and why each one exists
Field Required Why we ask
MaterialYesTells us which surface to price and which questions to ask.
Project typeYesSingle room, whole home or commercial changes the scope entirely.
RoomsNoHelps us picture the layout and the transitions between spaces.
Approximate square footageNoDrives the material order and the labour estimate.
Desired timelineYesTells us how to sequence your job against work already booked.
Existing floorNoThe biggest single driver of prep and removal work.
NameYesSo we know who we are replying to.
PhoneYesMost estimate questions are faster to resolve by voice.
EmailYesWhere a written scope and number can be sent.
ZIP codeYesTells us whether the address falls inside the area we cover.
Anything elseNoFree text. Put in it only what you want us to have.

There is one more field, labelled Company, that is hidden from view and hidden from screen readers. It is a spam trap. Automated bots fill in every field they find, people do not, so anything arriving with that box filled is discarded. If you use a browser or assistive setup that fills it in anyway, your message may not reach us, and calling is the reliable route.

Do not send us sensitive details through this form

The form exists to scope a flooring job. It is not a secure channel. Keep payment card numbers, bank details, social security numbers, health information and copies of identity documents off it. If a step in the process ever needs something like that, we will arrange a proper way to hand it over.

Where the information goes

When you submit the form, your browser sends it to a script on this same website at /send.php. That script checks the required fields, formats what you wrote as a plain-text email, and sends it to the business mailbox. Your email address is set as the reply address on that message so a response goes back to you directly.

The message then lives in an email inbox, in the same way any other message to the business does. It is not loaded into a customer database, an advertising platform or a marketing list by this website.

Email is not encrypted end to end

A form submission travels to this site over HTTPS, but the email it becomes moves through mail servers in the ordinary way. Treat anything you write in the form the way you would treat a normal email: fine for project details, not the place for financial or identity information.

Third parties that load on these pages

Four outside services are requested by the browser when you view this site. None of them receive your form submission. All of them, by the nature of an HTTP request, can see your IP address and basic browser information when their files are fetched.

Google Fonts

Headings and body text use two typefaces requested from Google's font service. Your browser asks Google for the font files, which means Google's servers see the request. No account is involved and nothing is stored by this site as a result.

Google Translate

The language selector in the footer is Google's website translation widget. If you use it, the visible text of the page is processed by Google in order to return a translated version. Google's own terms and privacy policy govern that. If you never touch the selector, the widget script still loads with the page.

jsDelivr

Two animation libraries, GSAP and Lenis, load from the jsDelivr content delivery network. They handle scroll behaviour and motion. They do not read the form, and the site remains readable and usable if they fail to load.

The web host

This site sits on shared hosting, and hosting providers keep standard server logs: IP address, time of request, page requested, browser user agent. Those logs exist for security and diagnostics. They are generated by the hosting platform rather than by anything written into this site.

Cookies and similar storage

This website sets no cookies. It stores nothing in local storage or session storage. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Google's translation widget may set its own cookie to remember a language choice once you actively use it. That is Google's cookie, under Google's policy, and it is the only cookie that can appear here.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

There is currently no analytics tool on this site. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no conversion tag, no heat mapping, no remarketing list. Nobody is building a profile of your visit from this website.

This is worth stating plainly because most privacy policies claim the opposite by default, copied from a template. If an analytics or advertising tool is added in future, this section must be rewritten before that tool goes live, and any consent requirement that comes with it has to be handled at the same time.

How long we keep it

An estimate request lives in the business email account. Quotes, jobs and the messages behind them are also business records, and records tied to work performed are kept for as long as tax, accounting and warranty obligations require. If you want a request deleted and no work followed from it, ask and it will be removed from the inbox.

Your choices

  • You can skip the form entirely and phone or email instead. The contact routes are on the contact page and in the footer of every page.
  • You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, using the contact route above.
  • You can block third-party requests with browser settings or an extension. Fonts and animation will change, but the pages still work.
  • Depending on where you live, state or national privacy law may give you further rights. Those rights are outside what this draft can accurately state, which is one more reason it needs professional review.

Children

This is a website for people buying flooring work for a property. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted the form, contact us and the message will be deleted.

Links to other sites

Where a page links somewhere outside this domain, that site runs under its own privacy policy and we have no control over it. The same is true of any review platform or social profile linked from the reviews page.

Changes to this policy

If the site changes in a way that affects what it collects, this page changes. The most likely triggers are adding analytics, adding a chat widget, adding online booking, or moving the form to a third-party handler. Any of those would need this document revisited rather than patched.
